West Brom picked up a much-needed three points as they comfortably swept aside Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough by three goals to nil. 

Charlie Austin opened the scoring from the penalty spot, before a Matheus Pereira brace in the second-half saw Slaven Bilic's side pick up a deserved win on the night.

Austin has struggled for consistent game time with the Baggies this season, with the majority of his appearances coming from the substitutes bench.

The former QPR forward has often been kept out of the starting XI due to the performances by Hal Robson-Kanu and Kenneth Zohore, but was given his opportunity to impress against Garry Monk's side, and he certainly grasped it with both hands.

It was his tenth goal of the season, as West Brom moved to within a point of league-leaders Leeds United with six matches remaining in this year's campaign.
