It was a disappointing performance from Derby County at the weekend, who were held to a 0-0 draw at home to Steve Cooper's Swansea City.

The Rams will have been looking to replicate the same level of performance that they put in against Huddersfield Town last Monday, as Phillip Cocu claimed his first win in charge of the East Midlands club.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Dutchman named an unchanged team to the side that ran out 2-1 winners at the John Smith's Stadium, but the Swans proved to be a much more solid, organised unit on Saturday.

Both sides struggled to get out of first gear and create any real clear-cut chances throughout, although Martyn Waghorn was presented with the perfect opportunity to open the scoring after Jayden Bogle was brought down.

But Waghorn failed to convert as Freddie Woodman got down to low to deny him, capping off what was a disappointing day at the office for the former Ipswich forward.

The biggest cheer of the afternoon came when Jack Marriott came on with 10 minutes left to play - the 24-year-old coming on and making his first appearance of the season after scoring 13 times last season.
