Football League World's Exeter City fan pundit Jamie Dyer has provided his thoughts on the Grecian's reported interest in 22-year-old striker Olufela Olomola, following his strong start to the campaign at Carlisle United, after joining on loan from Scunthorpe.

The former Southampton striker has found the back of the net on six occasions this term, playing a part in 21 games across all competitions this season.

Olomola's form has unsurprisingly attracted interest from further afield, thus opening up the possibility of Scunthorpe recalling the young striker with a view to selling him on to make a profit.

Given that Exeter have been mooted as one of Olomola's potential admirers, it only seemed right for us to ask Dyer for his opinion on the club's reported interest, and here is what our fan pundit had to say when we caught up with him earlier this month:

"Olamola would be a decent signing for us, as he's in-form at the moment and could be a solution that could solve our goal scoring issues, with the team struggling to find the net in recent weeks.

"He initially impressed me while he was on loan at Yeovil last season, as he finished top scorer.

"He has predatory instincts in front of goal and when he is on form, he is unstoppable.

"However he dips in  and out of form far too frequently, and as such I can't see him moving to us, with Matt Jay and Ryan Bowman likely to be selected ahead of him."

Given Dyer's comments on the young forward, there is clearly both positives and negatioves to Exeter City making their reported interest in the 22-year-old more concrete, with the player clearly offering some skills that could be of use to them, whilst on the other hand the Grecians are already well stocked in forward areas.

Ultimately it remains to be seen if the Devonshire outfit will act with regards to making a move for the striker, with there still being substantial amount of games to be played between now and January .
