Football League World's Millwall fan pundit Sam Scott has provided his verdict on Gary Rowett's start to life at the New Den, with the experienced Championship boss having overseen two wins, one draw and one defeat for his new side so far.

The New Den faithful will surely have been delighted at the appointment of the former Birmingham City man, with the 45-year-old having managed well over 300 games at Football League level, performing above expectations at the likes of Burton Albion in years gone by.

Rowett's appointment has given the Lions' squad a much bigger spring in their step in recent games, perhaps suggesting they may soon begin to rise up the league table in the coming weeks.

Here, we take a look at what Scott had to say about the new manager's start to life at the New Den, when we caught up with our fan pundit earlier this week:

"Rowett has been a breath of fresh air since he’s joined.

"He’s changed the playing style and got us playing football that is a lot more attractive.

"Under Rowett we score a lot more, I feel like the more technical players amongst the squad, such as Molumby, Mahoney and Bradshaw will greatly improve under him."

Before our Millwall fan pundit then offered his thoughts on where the Lions could finish in the league this season:

"Under Rowett, I can see us finishing between 12th and 16th in the Championship, particularly if his good start continues."

Given the start that the ex-Stoke City man has made at the New Den, Scott's prediction may well become a reality, with the Lions going well so far under the management of the 45-year-old.

Rowett will be keen for his charges to record yet another positive result in their upcoming game against Swansea, when the players return from the international break.
