Hartlepool United are among the clubs reportedly interested in signing Stuart McKinstry from Leeds United this summer, in a potential loan deal.

Pools are looking to have a decent season in Sky Bet League Two this coming campaign and are obviously aiming to get in some players to help with that cause.

McKinstry could be one, then, though it's likely any arrival would only be on a loan basis.

Indeed, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post Leeds United are eager to let the youngster out on loan for the season coming in order for him to get him some more senior football experience.

The report claims that he is just one of a number of young Leeds players the Whites are willing to let out on a temporary basis, and he could sign a new contract with the Elland Road side before making the switch to League Two.

The Verdict

This could be a decent signing and a decent move for all involved.

Hartlepool are a club naturally looking to benefit from signing good young players higher up the divisions and Leeds are eager to see their next generation getting senior minutes to keep improving and developing.

It looks a deal that could help everyone out, then, but Hartlepool are not the only side keen and so it's one to just monitor for now.
