Hartlepool United complete deal for ex-Chelsea defender

Hartlepool United have snapped up recently released Stevenage defender Harry Worley, the Pools fourth signing of the summer, according to the club’s official website.
The defender, who began his career at Stockport County, was snapped up by Chelsea in 2006.
He had loan spells at Doncaster Rovers, Carlisle United and Leicester City, before joining Leicester on a permanent basis in 2008.
Spells at Luton Town and Crewe Alexandra followed, before he signed for Oxford United whilst the U’s were in the Conference League.
Having won promotion back to League Two with Oxford and a total of three years at the Kassam Stadium, Worley moved to Newport County.
Last summer, he left Wales to sign for the recently relegated Stevenage side, but failed to feature on a regular basis at the Lamex Stadium following an injury hit season.
Worley, who will be hoping to become a regular starter for Ronnie Moore, joins up with fellow new signings Rakish Bingham, Carl Magnay and Rhys Oates.
