Hartlepool United are strongly rumoured to be considering a move for midfielder Jason Kennedy from Bradford City.
The Hartlepool Mail reports that Colin Cooper is keen to sign a midfielder before the start of the season and the 27-year-old Jason Kennedy could be who he goes for.
Kennedy, who started his career at Middlesbrough went on to spend four years at Riverside before moving on, he would have loan spells out to Boston, Livingston, Bury and Darlington to gain experience in that time.
6ft 1″ midfielder moved on to Darlington in 2008 are his successful loan, then on to Rochdale before moving to Bradford City in 2013. He has gone on make eight appearances for City in that time.
Last season Kennedy spent a loan spell with his former club Rochdale with whom he had previously racked up 175 appearances and scored 12 goals, it is rumoured that he also turned down a permanent move to Hartlepool before signing for Rochdale.
Kennedy came on as a substitute in the second half for Bradford City last Saturday against Hartlepool, allowing Cooper assess the midfielder in action on the pitch.
Colin Cooper is a former Boro player that is familiar with Kennedy from their time at the club in the early 2000’s and is said to be keen to add to the strong ex-Middlesbrough contingent at Hartlepool.
