Huddersfield Town fans have a new hero at the John Smith's Stadium and he comes in the form of left-back, Harry Toffolo.

Danny Cowley brought the full-back to West Yorkshire back in January and he's established himself as a fan favourite over the course of the last 12 months.

In our new feature, The Hat-Trick, we take a look at the 25-year-old...

How's it gone so far?

Excellent.

Toffolo made 19 appearances for Huddersfield on the back of arriving from Lincoln in January. He scored one goal and registered two assists, helping Cowley keep the Terriers in the Championship.

A new manager is now in place in the form of Carlos Corberan, but Toffolo's role hasn't lessened one bit; if anything, he's even more important now.

The left-back has featured in all six Championship fixtures this season, scoring once, registering two assists and already bettering last year's contribution in a third of the time.

He scored in last weekend's win over Swansea City and bagged an assist in the midweek win over Derby County.

What issues does he face?

The season might only be six games deep, but Corberan's exciting style of football is getting the Championship taking note.

On the evidence of Tuesday night's victory over Derby, there's a strong claim that Toffolo is Town's most important player in attack.

In that respect, he's going to be a marked man moving forward. His desire to get forward and support attacking phases will be something opposition try to stop, whilst they will also test the space he vacates in-behind.

What's next?

More of the same.

Corberan will be looking to Toffolo to maintain this level of form against Preston North End on Saturday, with the Terriers hoping to record a third successive win.

Maintaining the team's level of performance is obviously very important, but additionally, it'd be good to see Toffolo get greedy.

He's already got three goal involvements in the Championship this season, but there's the potential for him to hit double figures as Corberan urges him to bomb forwards.
