The future of Harry Redknapp at Birmingham City remains up in the air despite being able to drift the club away from League One football, on the final day of the season.

Going on the basis that the former Portsmouth and Tottenham Hotspur manager is likely to remain at the Blues, then he has a major recruitment task on his hands ahead of what's set to be a hectic summer in the Midlands.

Redknapp is notorious for signing ex-players who use to be in his charge, such as Peter Crouch or Niko Kranjčar, but one footballer he did manage which hasn't been mentioned is Alejandro Faurlín, rated at £1.53 million.

The midfielder spent seven years at Queens Park Rangers and was under the guidance of Harry Redknapp at Loftus Road between 2012-2015, a player highly utilised by the 70-year-old.

Faurlín was released by the west London outfit last summer and subsequently was snapped up by Spanish side Getafe, however, game time is an irregular thing for the Argentine.

Birmingham City do need to freshen up the squad from a torrid campaign at St. Andrew's, or the second-half of the season following Gary Rowett's sacking.

Alejandro Faurlín would be an ideal candidate to bring to the club if they want a solid, recognised Championship man in the middle who knows his way around the game, as well as a player who would help steer the Blues away from another relegation dog-fight.

Birmingham fans, should Faurlín be a priority for Harry Redknapp this summer? Would you even welcome him to the squad? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
