Football Insider have reported that Leeds United are close to sealing a four-man transfer deal worth £48m, ahead of what looks increasingly likely to be Premier League football next term.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have bounced back in style from play-off semi-final defeat to Derby County last season, by sitting top of the Championship and on the verge of Premier League promotion.
The Argentine tactician will undoubtedly look to bring in some experience and fresh faces to take on the challenge of facing the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool next season.
Can you remember which Leeds United manager signed each of these 15 players? Have a go now!
However, Bielsa is also keen to confirm deals for four current players, and Football Insider have reported that those deals are now all-but complete.
The Yorkshire side are already committed to signing both Helder Costa and Jean-Kevin Augustin for £15m and £18m, respectively.
Whilst, the club are also keen to turn Illan Meslier and Jack Harrison’s loan deals into permanent ones.
Football League World’s Ben Crump asked fans via Facebook group Leeds United Football Club: “£48m for Costa, Augustin, Meslier and Harrison!!!! Do you think that is good value for money?” – and below are just some of the responses…
Steve Irwin-Hanmer: Hard to say if we in Premier League next year
Michael Hole: How can anyone answer that? Seen Meslier play a handful of games and Augustin has been seen even less
Anton O’Hara: Harrison is worth £20m
Sean Smith: Harrison alone is worth that, he is only going to get better and better as time goes on. I rate him highly MOT
Jasper Noble-Myers: Costa, Meslier and Harrison are great players. I’d sack Augustin off though
Brian Kendall: Yes
Mark Turner: Bargain
Lee Watkins: £15m of that for Ben White
Ben Brocklehurst: Then add another £30m for White
Dennis Hargreaves: Take that all day long, good investment
