With a month to go of the 2017/18 campaign, Neil Harris' Millwall side were launching a shock attack on the Championship's play-off places.

It was their first season back in the second tier of English football, but their brilliant organisation made them hard to beat in the Championship, leading to a lengthy unbeaten run.

They still had a chance of making the top six going into the penultimate weekend of the season, but eventually missed out, with Fulham, Aston Villa, Middlesbrough and Derby County making up the play-off spots.

That campaign led to high hopes of breaking into the top six this time around but the opening ten games of the season has led to doubts of that happening, with Millwall struggling.

So, have the Lions now got no hope of making the play-offs?

We discuss...

Alfie Burns

I can’t see it myself.

Last season was a good year for the Lions, but with hindsight, it looked a bit of a fluke.

Harris is a good young manager, but he doesn’t convince me as the type to deliver the play-offs.

Chris Gallagher

Absolutely none.

In reality, they shouldn't be competing with the top six, Neil Harris has done a magnificent job on a tiny budget.

They lost George Saville and don't have enough quality in key areas to push for the play-offs. However, if this is viewed as a major negative it's because Harris is a victim of the success he enjoyed last season.

Louie Chandler

No chance, I'm afraid.

Last season showed what the Lions are capable of, but if Harris was sensible he will have prepared for a battle towards the bottom of the table rather than the top.
