Aston Villa are expected to complete the signing of at least one further player this summer, with Le Havre defender Harold Moukoudi their main priority.
According to a tweet by sports journalist Gregg Evans, the 20-year-old centre back has touched down in the United Kingdom, and is expected to join the ranks at Villa Park before the closure of this summer’s transfer window.
The tweet stated: “Expecting a busy few days at #avfc Harold Moukoudi is in the UK and expected at Bodymoor Heath today as Villa look to wrap up a season-long loan deal. Will add cover at centre-back if it gets done.”
The French Under-20 international, who had been linked with a move to the likes of Arsenal, Fulham, Middlesbrough and Sevilla throughout the summer transfer window, looks set to leave the Ligue 2 side on loan.
The arrival of the youngster could see Villa defender Tommy Elphick leave Villa Park, with Queens Park Rangers reportedly interested in the 30-year-old.
Here is how the Aston Villa faithful reacted to the news on Twitter.
Will add cover…. Bets this fella will love that going from first team to cover for a CDM player in centre back position

option to buy?

Would Bruce not want a natural CB to play in that position. If the kid isn't going to play why waste a loan on him?

Isn’t this the last loan space Gregg?

Does that mean @TommyElph4 will go if so that's a shame in my mind he's been treated poorly by the club
