Aston Villa have confirmed the signing of Ezri Konsa from Brentford, but Bees fans aren't as disappointed as you might expect.

Konsa had attracted interest from Fulham but the Premier League club have reportedly agreed a fee of £12m, the same price Brentford sold defender Chris Mepham for in January.

The 21-year-old only spent a year at Griffin Park after arriving from Charlton for £2.5m last summer, so the club have made a very good profit on a player they've had for so little time, a fact which hasn't been lost on the supporters.

The defender made 47 appearances for the Bees last season and quickly became an important player for the team. However, Pontus Jansson has already signed as a replacement which explains why Brentford fans aren't too upset by his departure.

Many fans are impressed by the business - that the club has been able to sell him for a fee almost five times what they paid just 12 months ago.

Here is the reaction from some Brentford fans on Twitter.
