It's exactly a year to the day since Marcelo Bielsa's iconic Powerpoint presentation.

The Leeds United boss called 'an emergency press conference' amid the claims that he had sent a spy to watch Derby County ahead of a crucial Championship fixture.

While Bielsa acknowledged his part in the 'Spygate' saga, he was typically unapologetic as he launched into a 70 minute presentation with all of the analysis that he had done ahead of the clash with Frank Lampard's Rams.

Fast-forward 12 months and Derby County have been dealt some worrying news that they have been charged by the EFL 'for recording losses in excess of the permitted amounts' over a three-year period leading up to June 2018.

A statement from the EFL read: "Following a review of Derby County’s Profitability and Sustainability (P&S) submissions, the EFL has charged the Club for recording losses in excess of the permitted amounts provided for in EFL Regulations for the three-year period ending 30 June 2018."

The Club will now be referred to an independent Disciplinary Commission, which will hear representations from both the EFL and Derby County.

As these matters are now subject to proceedings, the EFL will be making no further comment at this time.

While the possibility of a points deduction is naturally a concern for those associated with Derby County, a selection of Leeds fans couldn't resist pointing out the coincidental timing of the announcement.

Here's what some Leeds supporters have had to say...
