Bolton Wanderers once again find themselves facing the high court today but this time administration looks almost inevitable.

The hearing is happening after a proposed takeover by Laurence Bassini fell through last week, with the former Watford owner failing to provide proof he could afford the purchase.

But just minutes into the court proceedings, the club's current owner and chairman, Ken Anderson, released a statement via the club's official website, slamming Bassini and revealing he will be looking to place the trotter's into administration.

The timing of the statement is sure to cause a lot of anger among the fans, with Anderson releasing it just minutes after the high court hearing into the club's finances begun.
