Bristol City have reportedly agreed a new two-and-a-half-year deal with teenager Ayman Benarous, which has drawn an interesting reaction from fans of the Bs3 club.
The teenager was tipped as one to watch by former boss Lee Johnson last term and has been part of the Robins U23s this term.
It seems the 17-year-old is someone that City see as one for the future as, according to the Bristol Post, he is set to sign a new contract that will keep him at Ashton Gate until at least 2023.
The attacking midfielder can play centrally or out on the flanks and his quality has been recognised by the England set-up, with Benarous having featured for the U17s most recently.
It seems as though the teenager could be another of the club academy’s successes as their senior side has benefitted greatly from their system this term – with Antoine Semenyo, Zak Vyner, Owura Edwards, and Opi Edwards all featuring.
Diedhiou? Martin? – Can you name which Bristol City player scored each these 15 goals this season?
There’s been some unrest among fans of the South West club recently and this Benarous update has drawn a mixed reaction from supporters.
