Marcelo Bielsa sees Leeds United’s trip to Nottingham Forest as a massive test, with the Whites heading to the City Ground on the back of a gruelling festive period.

Leeds will have had four games in the space of 10 days by the time they’ve finished at the City Ground, which has really tested a trimmed squad.

Victories over Aston Villa and Blackburn were recorded, but Leeds tasted defeat for the first time since November at the weekend, losing to Hull City at a sold-out Elland Road.

Of course, tomorrow’s trip to Nottingham presents an opportunity for Leeds to bounce back, but injuries are still crippling Leeds, with others sure to be feeling the strain after a tough run.

Changes could be made, which is something we’ve not seen much of from Bielsa in the past.

Here at FLW, we take a look at the starting XI we expect to see from Leeds…

With no competition, Peacock-Farrell continues in goal.

Luke Ayling has only just returned from injury and fatigue will be worse for him than most.

Shackleton deserves a start at right-back.

Jansson is in great form and a guaranteed starter in Nottingham.

Halme deserves to come back into the starting XI for this one.

Leeds are missing Kalvin Phillips in midfield and he needs to return there. Bringing in Halme allows that.

Douglas is another that needs to be starting in this makeshift back-four.

Back in his favoured role, Phillips will be key.

A switch to the right has worked wonders for Alioski, who will continue.

Klich looks tired, but Leeds’ lack of options mean he should probably start again.

Forshaw moves into a more advanced position, where he’s been good this year.

This reshape allows Hernandez to move out wide, where he’s probably played his best football this season.

Roofe will lead the line.

He will hope for more ball than he got against Hull.
