Leeds United have announced that Gaetano Berardi's suspension for a red card against Millwall has been overturned.

The defender was sent-off early into Leeds' game against the Lions at The Den on Saturday, which resulted in a penalty for the home side.

Leeds went on to lose the game 2-1 on the day, and the club's supporters will have been hugely frustrated as they had their fair share of chances during the game, despite only having ten men.

But they would have been even more frustrated when footage showed that the contact on Millwall's Tom Bradshaw was minimal, and that the sending off was a mistake from the referee.

With the ban being overturned though, it means that Berardi is in contention to start against Birmingham City when members of the first-team squad return from the international set of fixtures.

Plenty of the Elland Road faithful took to social media to react to this latest announcement.
