Hull City fell to their eighth defeat this Championship season last night, with Peterborough United running out as 2-1 winners at the MKM Stadium.
Jack Taylor opened the scoring for the visitors in the 43rd minute, before Josh Magennis levelled moments before the break.
The Northern Ireland international then missed from the penalty spot to give the hosts the lead in the 66th minute, and it proved to be pivotal, with Siriki Dembele netting a late winner to earn all three points for Posh.
Quiz: Did these 25 Hull City transfers actually happen?
Defeat for Grant McCann’s side means that they have won just one Championship game in their last 12, failing to transfer last season’s excellence into the new division.
McCann was unable to steer The Tigers away from relegation from the Championship during the 2019/20 campaign, but seemingly turned. corner by storming League One last time out.
Adding further misery to last night’s result, Peterborough had lost all their Championship games away from home last season, in a result that has pushed them out of the relegation zone.
Hull will try to rectify things when they visit Luton Town at the weekend, with The Hatters losing just one of their last nine second-tier games.
The Tigers recorded a convincing 3-0 victory in their last visit to Kenilworth Road, although the situations at both clubs were completely different.
Here, we take a look at how Hull fans on Twitter have reacted to last night’s loss, with fans taking aim at McCann…
McCann will somehow find a positive from that result but he is tactically inept and the only place we’re going under him is league one. McCann Out!

I’ve backed McCann longer than most but I’ve had enough now. His Championship record is horrific and we haven’t got a cat in hell’s chance of staying up playing like this.
Club needs a fresh outlook, starting with the owners!

Look I've backed McCann long enough, but even I've turned he has to win these games, he has to go along with the Allams otherwise its more turmoil, this group of players should be competing for midtable spot not relegation

Absolutely abysmal. If the Allams seriously think they're going to change the government's mind about selling the stadium. And if McCann actually thinks hes staying, he's got another thing coming. If the Allams don't get rid of him, trust me, the fans will. #AllamOut #McCannOut

Take your pick of which photo you want to use for the club statement, as long as there is a club statement. pic.twitter.com/7KF6hjJxxx

McCann's position is totally untenable. He has to go (I'm really sorry to ask for someone to lose their job, it's horrible)…. but he doesn't learn, has zero flexibility and refuses to change a script that clearly doesn't work.
