Hull City fell to their eighth defeat this Championship season last night, with Peterborough United running out as 2-1 winners at the MKM Stadium.

Jack Taylor opened the scoring for the visitors in the 43rd minute, before Josh Magennis levelled moments before the break.

The Northern Ireland international then missed from the penalty spot to give the hosts the lead in the 66th minute, and it proved to be pivotal, with Siriki Dembele netting a late winner to earn all three points for Posh.

Defeat for Grant McCann's side means that they have won just one Championship game in their last 12, failing to transfer last season's excellence into the new division.

McCann was unable to steer The Tigers away from relegation from the Championship during the 2019/20 campaign, but seemingly turned. corner by storming League One last time out.

Adding further misery to last night's result, Peterborough had lost all their Championship games away from home last season, in a result that has pushed them out of the relegation zone.

Hull will try to rectify things when they visit Luton Town at the weekend, with The Hatters losing just one of their last nine second-tier games.

The Tigers recorded a convincing 3-0 victory in their last visit to Kenilworth Road, although the situations at both clubs were completely different.

Here, we take a look at how Hull fans on Twitter have reacted to last night's loss, with fans taking aim at McCann...
