Guy Moussi played 150 times for Nottingham Forest between 2008 and 2014.

The Frenchman was a favourite of the Forest fans. Signing from Angers as a young prodigy who people knew little about, over the coming few seasons he would muscle his way into the first-team, becoming one of their most consistent performers in the Championship.

Today aged 35, Moussi hasn't played for a professional club since 2015. After a short spell on-loan at Millwall before his Forest release, Moussi signed a short-term contract at Birmingham City.

At St Andrew's, Moussi decided to donate all his wages to charity. He only played twice for them but in his last, a Championship fixture at Forest, Moussi received a standing ovation from the home fans.

His last game for Forest was six years ago today and to celebrate, Moussi shared this post on

/">his Instagram:

A fine player in his day, and it's sad that his career didn't maintain after his Forest departure. He was a well-rounded midfielder who could lift stadiums - he played with his heart on his sleeve and that reflected out onto the stands.

His last stint in the game was with Finnish side HJK in early 2015, with Moussi having seemingly retired since - he's remained prominent on social media though, and is often reminiscing his Forest days.

The verdict

Moussi played for the club through some testing times, but proved one of the few consistencies at the club. He was a huge favourite amongst fans and a quality Championship player as well, and many would've have loved to see some more of him in the Championship.
