Conor Gallagher has issued a heartfelt message to Charlton supporters after being recalled from his loan spell at the Addicks by his parent club Chelsea.

The midfielder established himself as a regular feature in the Addicks' midfield during an impressive first half of the season, but Chelsea have now decided to recall the player as they look to send him on another loan move for the rest of the campaign.

It is being reported that Swansea are leading the race to secure Gallagher's services, while Charlton must now find a replacement for the midfielder who netted six goals and registered three assists in his 26 appearances for the South London side.

Charlton have been struggling in the Championship of late, with their injury crisis seeing them drop down to 19th in standings, but Gallagher had been a mainstay in Lee Bowyer's side during this time as a result of his creativity and work ethic.
