Birmingham City host Aston Villa in the Second City derby this weekend, with Garry Monk looking for his first victory in the fixture.

Monk’s side were beaten 4-2 by Villa in the reverse fixture, but they have improved significantly since then and are pushing for play-off football now.

However, it has been confirmed by Monk that he will be without the impressive Maxime Colin this weekend, after the right-back limped out of last weekend’s defeat to Hull City with a hamstring injury.

For Monk, he has acknowledge the significance of the blow, stating to the club’s official website that he believes Colin is one of the best full-backs in the Championship.

“It's a blow for us - because for me Max is one of the best full-backs in the league - that's how highly I rate him.”

Wes Harding will be expected to come in at right-back and replace Colin, but like Monk, the club’s supporters feel it is a significant blow losing Colin.
