Kasey Palmer’s loan deal at Swansea have been cut short after Bristol City decided to recall the midfielder, the South Wales outfit have confirmed.
The former Chelsea man initially joined Swansea on a season-long loan deal on Transfer Deadline Day back in October, but has been recalled by the Robins, who’re currently enduring an injury crisis at Ashton Gate – with a host of first-team players currently unavailable.
Palmer made 12 Championship appearances during his short spell with the Swans, although just two of those were starts – with his last outing come in the goalless draw with Reading last Wednesday.

Palmer generally struggled for opportunities at the Liberty Stadium, with each of his last four appearances coming off the bench, although he did manage to score in the victory over Stoke back in October, his first Championship goal for more than 12 months.
The general feeling from Swansea fans regarding Palmer’s departure is one of frustration, and we’ve been looking at exactly how the Swansea faithful have been reacting on Twitter to the news of his loan deal ending:
Enjoyed watching him play. Hope he gets a decent opportunity at Bristol.
Best of luck Kasey.
