Barnsley moved five points ahead of promotion rivals Sunderland with a last-gasp winner against Walsall today.

Daniel Stendel's side were far from their best on the day, but Jacob Brown's late strike proved to be enough for the Tykes as they cemented their position in the automatic promotion places.

Sunderland remain five points behind Stendel's men but will fancy their chances at catching the Tykes, with Jack Ross' side having two games in hand on Barnsley.

The Black Cats aren't in action this weekend due to the international break, whilst they also don't play next week as they prepare for the Checkatrade Trophy final against Portsmouth at Wembley.

Therefore, the Tykes have a chance to apply pressure on Sunderland by building a lead.

They managed that today and it's fair to say the Black Cats supporters weren't best best pleased with how they snatched victory today.
