Bolton Wanderers have been hit with a frustrating injury blow, as the club confirmed that Will Buckley sustained a fractured tibia in their game against Bristol Rovers.

The midfielder only re-signed for Keith Hill's side on Monday, and would have been hoping that he could play his part in their unlikely fight against relegation into League Two this season.

His contract expired earlier in January, but the club were evidently impressed with the performances he had shown in the first-half of this year's campaign.

But in his first game since re-signing for Bolton, he was withdrawn just eight minutes after coming on as a second-half substitute.

It remains to be seen as to how long the midfielder will be out of action for with this injury, but the club have revealed that he will undergo an operation to address the issue.

Plenty of Bolton Wanderers supporters took to social media to react to this irritating injury blow.
