Reading FC have confirmed that Icelandic international, Jon Dadi Bodvarsson has left the club to join Millwall.
Bodvarsson struggled for a consistent run in the Royals team for much of last season, starting just nine league games in a league campaign disrupted with injuries.
But the 27-year-old did score seven goals for Reading as they narrowly avoided relegation into League One with a game to spare in the Championship.
It won’t come as a surprise to see the striker leave the club though, as he had fallen behind Danny Loader and Yakou Meite in the pecking order in Jose Gomes’ squad.
The Royals boss will be hoping to trim the wage bill even further before the new season gets underway, as he looks to fund new signings.
Plenty of Reading supporters took to social media to react to his departure.
