Fleetwood Town defender Lewie Coyle has sent a message after securing his move from Leeds United, which has drawn an interesting response from fans of the Yorkshire club.

The 24-year-old is a product of the Whites academy but has spent the last two-and-a-half seasons on loan with the Trawlermen–making 121 appearances in total.

The Englishman has made 23 appearances for the Yorkshire club since his debut in 2015 but has not featured since he first joined Fleetwood on loan at the start of the 2017/18 season.

With his Leeds contract set to expire in the summer, Coyle signed with the League One club permanently yesterday.

The full-back has joined for an undisclosed fee and signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Fleetwood.

Coyle took to Twitter yesterday evening to send a message after sealing his move from Leeds to the North West club–explaining his motivation and addressing his former side.

The defender has had an impressive season so far, making 28 appearances and providing six assists for Joey Barton's side.
