Huddersfield Town have confirmed that Christopher Schindler will leave the club when his contract reaches a conclusion in the coming months.

The defender first signed for the Yorkshire-based club back in 2016, and went on to make 184 appearances in total for Huddersfield, establishing himself as a firm fans favourite amongst the John Smith's Stadium faithful.

He scored the winning penalty in the play-off final match against Reading at Wembley back in 2017, and will be fondly remembered for his services to the club.

Schindler has struggled with injuries in this year's campaign whilst under the management of Carlos Corberan, and has made 13 appearances this term.

The Terriers have struggled themselves in the Championship this season, as they finished 20th in the second-tier standings, which doesn't make for the best of reading, after some poor performances in the second-half of the campaign.

Plenty of Huddersfield Town supporters took to social media to react to Schlinder's departure being confirmed, with plenty of them being upset to see him move on.
