There have been very few positives at Villa Park this season, with Aston Villa failing to spark a promotion push in the Sky Bet Championship.
Following relegation form the Premier League last season, many expected Villa to challenge for an instant return to the top-flight, particularly after a busy summer transfer window.
Villa began the campaign poorly under Roberto Di Matteo, who was replaced by Steve Bruce in October.
Bruce brought an initial upturn in results to Villa Park, but a winless streak between Boxing Day and February 25th, effectively ended Villa’s promotion hopes.
Results have picked up in recent weeks, with Jonathan Kodjia, who has been a shining light at Villa Park all season, spearheading Villa’s revival.
The Ivorian has scored 19 Championship goals this season, but was facing an early end to the campaign after receiving a red card for violent conduct in Monday’s defeat to Fulham.
However, Villa have successfully appealed Kodjia’s pending three-match suspension, with the striker now set to serve just a one-match ban.

Kodjia will be unavailable for the Second-City derby between Villa and Birmingham City on Sunday afternoon, but will return for fixtures against Blackburn Rovers and Brighton and Hove Albion.
