‘Great start to the week’ – Plenty of Swansea City fans react to fresh transfer news

As per reports from BBC Sport Wales, Swansea City have rejected a £15million bid from newly-promoted Premier League side Sheffield United for Oli McBurnie.

The Swans have already lost one of their most important players this summer with Dan James departing for Manchester United, and the Welsh club will be desperate to keep hold of McBurnie this summer.

The 23-year-old scored 24 goals in 45 appearances for the Swans last season, as Graham Potter’s side finished 10th in the Sky Bet Championship table.

Steve Cooper is now at the helm of the Welsh club and, with two years remaining on McBurnie’s contract at the Liberty Stadium, the club has now rejected another advance for the forward.

After turning down a reported £15m bid from the Blades, it is claimed that they will only consider selling McBurnie if they receive a bid in excess of £20m for the forward.

Here, we take a look at Swansea fans’ reactions to this fresh piece of transfer news…
