Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Toulouse midfielder John Bostock and many Reds fans appear pleased by the addition of the Englishman.

The 27-year-old was a late addition on transfer deadline day and joins the club on a season-long loan deal.

Bostock returns to English football after a six-year absence, having made his senior debut for Crystal Palace before joining Tottenham Hotspur and featuring for several lower league clubs on loan.

He left the North London club in 2013 and has since played for Belgian sides Antwerp and OH Leuven, RC Lens and Toulouse in France, as well as Turkish club Bursaspor.

The midfielder told the club website that new boss Sabri Lamouchi was a factor in him joining the Reds.

He explained: “At this time in my career, Nottingham Forest is definitely the right place for me.

“I had a conversation with the gaffer and having heard his philosophy and his outlook on football, it was a huge attraction for me.

“Of course I know the club anyway but it excites me that I've got a chance to help create a new history and be part of something special.”

Forest travel to Elland Road to face Leeds United on Saturday, still in search of their first Championship points of the season.
