Bristol City have confirmed the signing of Liam Walsh from Everton on a permanent deal.
The club’s official website announced the news last night and revealed that the promising youngster has put pen to paper on a two and a half year deal with the Robins – keeping him at Ashton Gate until the summer of 2020.
Walsh was highly rated by Everton but was never handed a first team appearance and now he has completed a move away from Goodison Park for the sake of his career.
The 20-year-old was on loan at Birmingham City earlier this season but only managed three appearances before being frozen out by Steve Cotterill.
But the former England under-18 international impressed on loan at Yeovil Town last season, scoring once in 17 appearances from central midfield.
Bristol City fans took to Twitter to share their views on their latest signing and here are a selection of the best responses after the club officially announced the arrival of Liam Walsh.
