QPR’s impressive run of form since the turn of the New Year continued on Saturday, as they ran out 2-1 winners over Middlesbrough.
Rob Dickie opened the scoring with a stunning 30-yard effort, in what was his third goal of the season for Mark Warburton’s side in all competitions.
That lead was then doubled shortly after, as Lyndon Dykes scored their second of the match. Yannick Bolasie pulled a goal back for Middlesbrough, but they couldn’t find the equaliser they were pressing for.
That was even after QPR goalkeeper Seny Dieng was sent-off in the second-half, as Joe Lumley came on and was hugely impressive between the posts to preserve QPR’s lead on the day.
Dickie’s performance in the win caught the eye, with the defender making his 41st appearance of the season for the Hoops, who are now sat tenth in the Championship table.
Dickie took to Instagram following the win, and praised Lumley for his role on the day, as QPR picked up another three points.
QPR are set to return to action on Tuesday evening, when they take on promotion-chasing Swansea City, in a game they’ll fancy their chances of picking up a win from at the Liberty Stadium.
