‘Great shame’, ‘Hope he does well’ – Many Nottingham Forest fans react as player completes move away

Nottingham Forest have bid farewell to young midfielder Jake Taylor, who has joined League Two side Port Vale on a permanent basis.
The 22-year-old came through the ranks at the City Ground, but failed to make a single first-team appearance during his time at the club.
Taylor spent last season on loan at Vale Park, scoring seven goals in all competitions during his time in Burslem.
This season, he’s spent time on loan at Scunthorpe United, making 13 appearances for the Iron before returning to Forest.
He’s now been sold to Port Vale on a permanent basis, after penning a long-term deal at Vale Park, who are managerless.
Many Forest fans have been reacting to the news that Taylor has left the club, with many left disappointed at him not being given a chance.
He spent pre-season training with Sabri Lamouchi this year, but ultimately failed to make the grade at the City Ground.
Here’s what Forest fans had to say…
Good player. Hope he does well. 🔴⚪️💯❤️👌🏻

22 – if he was that good he’d have been first time by now, or thereabouts

Good luck to him. Shame he didn’t get a chance with our first team but looks like another Academy player with a decent career ahead of him.

Looking at it I’m not really bothered, we have about 7 in the first team that play his position aswell as McGuane, Fornah and even Fin Back
