Plenty of Blackburn Rovers fans have taken to Twitter to laud goalkeeper Christian Walton for his performance against Hull City.

In what was an enthralling clash at the KCOM Stadium, Tony Mowbray's side sealed their second consecutive victory in the Championship courtesy of a second-half header from Derrick Williams.

However, Rovers could have left East Yorkshire empty-handed if it wasn't for Walton, who produced arguably the highlight of his season so far against the Tigers.

After Bradley Johnson brought down Jackson Irvine in the penalty area, Jarrod Bowen had the chance to give Hull the lead from the spot.

Yet the forward was unable to fire in what would have been his third goal of the 2019/20 campaign as he saw his effort saved by Walton.

Spurred on by the 23-year-old's tremendous stop, Blackburn hit the woodwork twice through Stewart Downing and Johnson before finally grabbing the all-important goal in the 62nd minute of the clash.

After the game, Walton tweeted: "Good win on the road and another clean sheet.

"Thanks to the fans who travelled and got behind us tonight."

Upon seeing the keeper's comment, plenty of Blackburn fans took to Twitter to praise him for his latest display.

Here are some of the best responses from the club's supporters...
