Millwall's Shaun Williams has signed a new one-year contract which will keep him at the Lions until the end of next season.

It's a good bit of business for the side, and one that shows how much impact he's had in the first XI since new manager Gary Rowett came into the club.

Williams has made 257 appearances for the club has experienced a lot of Millwall's most successful seasons.

He was a pivotal part of the Lions' play-off final victory in 2017 and also played a key role in the following season when the side came eighth in the Championship.

Under new boss Rowett he's improved his game massively, and it's obvious that Rowett sees him as a player who can still add to this Millwall side on and off the pitch.
