‘Great news’, ‘Glad to hear that’ – Loads of Swansea City fans react as midfielder shares update

Loads of Swansea City fans have reacted to George Byers’ latest personal update after he underwent surgery on a season-ending injury.

The 23 year-old limped out of the action against Derby County just over a week ago with manager Steve Cooper later confirming that the ankle sprain would keep him out until the 2020/21 campaign.

QUIZ: How much can you remember about Swansea’s 2020 so far?

He had been a regular in Cooper’s side this season, racking up 29 appearances in the Championship, scoring twice in that time, as he helped the Swans push for a place in the play-offs.

They will now have to adapt to life without him continuing this weekend when they welcome relegation-threatened Huddersfield Town to The Liberty Stadium.

However, he clearly still has all the support from the Swansea faithful, with loads of fans responding to his post with messages of support.

Here is what they had to say…
