Championship club Nottingham Forest have responded to their fans’ impressive support so early on in the season by announcing they will be discounting ticket prices during the month of September.

Mark Warburton’s side currently sits in sixth place in the Championship with three wins and two losses from their opening five games.

They also have a trip to Stamford Bridge to look forward to when they face Chelsea in the third round of the Carabao Cup next month.

Forest’s chairman Nicholas Randall has announced that the club will be making £20 tickets available for games against Wolves, Fulham, and Sheffield United as a thank you for the fans’ overwhelming support.

The former European Champions only avoided relegation last season on goal difference which perfectly represented the tough time the club has been having in the last few years.

However, under new management in Mark Warburton and with new owners at the club Forest have been prospering in the league so far this season as they fight to regain their place in England’s top flight.

The Verdict

This is a great move by the club.

The glory days of Nottingham Forest were only about 30 years ago so many fans of the club will remember Brian Clough leading them to European glory.

To go from that to where they have found themselves in recent times must be frustrating for the fans.

To reward them for their overwhelming support so far this season shows the club is heading in the right direction.

Fans will start being more vocal in their support at games and hopefully for the club, the good results will continue.
