Leeds United midfielder Tyler Roberts has been called up to the Wales squad for the upcoming international break, which has drawn a mixed response from fans of the club.

Roberts made his first Championship start of the season against QPR at Elland Road on Saturday and put in an impressive display.

The 20-year-old opened the scoring for the Whites by calmly slotting the ball into the bottom corner in the 39th minute and looked a nuisance for the visitors' defence all afternoon–narrowly missing a chance to double his tally in the second half.

The quality of Roberts' performance appears to have impressed Ryan Giggs, as he was included in the Wales squad for the upcoming internationals against Azerbaijan and Hungary in a few weeks' time.

Leeds have been without the midfielder for the majority of the season as he has been recovering from having knee surgery in the summer.

They have struggled in front of goal in recent weeks, finding the net just five times in their seven games prior to the QPR clash, and after an impressive display on the weekend it looked as if Roberts could help solve that issue.

His call up to international duty appears to have split fans of the Yorkshire club, with some concerned about a potential injury and others pleased for the player.
