Stoke City are set to confirm the appointment of Michael O'Neill as their new manager, with the 50-year-old reportedly taking training this morning.

The Northern Ireland boss is set to be in charge of the Potters ahead of what will be a massive game away at Barnsley tomorrow afternoon, with O'Neill keen to get stuck into working with his new group of players.

Sky Sports journalist Paul Gilmour has revealed that O'Neill met the players this morning and also took training, amid reports that he is set to become Nathan Jones' successor at the bet365 Stadium.

The 50-year-old took charge of Northern Ireland in 2011, after winning 83 out of 151 games in charge of Shamrock Rovers.

In that time, O'Neill saw his side climb from 129th to 20th in the FIFA world rankings, as well as guiding to them to the last 16 of the European Championships in 2016.

His eagerness to want to meet his new set of players and take training straight away is bound to be music to Stoke fans' ears, as they take on fellow strugglers Barnsley at Oakwell tomorrow.

Here, then, we take a look at what Stoke fans have made of this new update...
