‘Great appointment’, ‘Excellent’ – These Brentford fans are delighted as club confirm new manager

Brentford have confirmed Thomas Frank as their new Head Coach, with the Dane replacing Dean Smith who left for Aston Villa.

The Bees have wasted little time in searching for a successor to Smith and have opted to promote from within, with Frank stepping up from his previous role as Assistant Head Coach.

The 45-year-old took that role a few years ago after joining the club following his departure from Brondby and he has attracted a lot of praise for the work he did along with Smith and Richard O’Kelly.

His arrival should ensure that the London outfit continue to play in a similarly expansive style, with Frank known to encourage that style of play.

Frank’s first game will be against Bristol City this weekend at Griffin Park as the Bees look to get back into the top six.
