Sheffield Wednesday climbed up to 7th in the Championship table thanks to a 1-0 away win over David Wagner’s Huddersfield Town side.
The only goal of the game came in the 68th minute when Rajiv van la Parra conceded a needless penalty after he flew into an attempted block with his arms raised. Fernando Forestieri dispatched the resultant spot kick, blasting the ball into the top right-hand corner, to secure all 3 points for the Owls.
Wednesday fans were delighted with the performance, and it looks like they may be on their way to a promotion challenge.

Great to see Hutch, Lees & Westwood back to their best. Thought Pudil had a solid game too #swfc

Huddersfield fans were far from pleased with the performance, and from a club who have produced some outstanding performances this season, many expected more.

We’re only 12 games into the season, but both sides can take something looking back on this game. Huddersfield will have to be more clinical if they want to maintain a promotion challenge, but for the Owls it’s all smiles as they climb further up the table, and closer to the top 2.
