Hull City manager Grant McCann has admitted that there is interest in Jarrod Bowen, Kamil Grosicki and Markus Henriksen, but claims that the club have yet to receive any bids for the trio.

A number of Premier League clubs including Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked with Bowen since the start of the transfer window, while Hull's Championship rivals Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest are both said to be interested in Grosicki, with the Hull Daily Mail reporting that the Tigers will sell the Pole for £4million.

Henriksen meanwhile has admitted that he is unsure if he will be at the KCOM Stadium next season, with French side Bordeaux retaining an interest in the midfielder after having an approach for the 27-year-old rejected in the January transfer window.

With little over two weeks until the transfer window closes, it seems as though it could be a long summer for Hull fans as the club look to hold onto their key players, with McCann telling the Hull Daily Mail: “I’d love them to be here.

“They’ve all just had very good seasons but I’m a realist and I understand that it’s hard to keep players like that."

The trio all featured in The Tigers' 2-2 friendly draw with Mansfield on Saturday, with Grosicki setting up Bowen for the opening goal, and discussing their futures with the club, McCann added: “But they’re here and I’ll continue to work hard with them. Come August 8 we’ll know where we are.

“I’m sure there’s interest. There’s not any bids that I know of but I know there’s interest in them. All I can do is work with them at the minute and see what happens.”

All three players are about to enter the last 12 months of their contracts with the club, meaning this could be Hull's last chance to receive a fee for any of the trio.

The Verdict

This is a difficult situation for the club.

While the fact that there so far appears to be no bids for the trio will be a relief for now, you feel it is inevitable that sooner rather than later the amount of interest there is in these three means that offers will come in.

When it does get to that point, Hull are likely to have a big decision to make about whether to accept or reject, which won't be helped by the fact that all three are out of contract this time next year, potentially putting pressure on the Tigers to get a fee for them while they still can.

If they do indeed leave, then there is no doubt that the will have to bring in replacements given their importance to the Tigers last year, and already time is running out for them to do that.
