Grant Holt is reportedly set to have a medical at Championship side Wigan Athletic.
According to BBC Radio Cumbria, Norwich and Wigan have agreed a fee for the transfer of the 32-year old striker. Wigan manager Owen Coyle is not hanging about in the transfer window having already signed six players.
Holt, who was born in Carlisle, has also played for Sheffield Wednesday, Rochdale, Nottingham Forest and Blackpool and has scored 68 goals in 154 league appearances for Norwich.
Holt would become Coyles seventh signing of the summer, joining James Perch, Scott Carson, Marc Antoine Fortune, Chris McCann, Stephen Crainey and Thomas Rogne. This signing would show a massive sign of intent for the FA Cup holders who will be looking for an immediate return to the top flight.
