Bristol City are a team in form in the Championship and Lee Johnson has moved to strengthen his hand today, with Kasey Palmer arriving at Ashton Gate on loan until the end of the season.  

It’s been announced on Bristol City’s official website that Palmer has arrived, after Chelsea opted to cut his loan spell with Blackburn Rovers short and send their player across the Championship.

The 22-year-old, who is an attacking midfielder, has previously had loan spells with Huddersfield Town and Derby County in the Championship, helping the former to promotion in 2017 and the latter to the play-offs last year.

Despite not really setting the world alight in the Championship, Palmer has talent and will add something different to Johnson’s play-off chasing squad.

As expected, there was plenty of reaction to Palmer’s signing, although it was mixed.
