Many Stoke City fans have taken to social media to react to a tweet by football journalist Alan Nixon which suggests that Sheffield United, Blackburn Rovers, Millwall and Nottingham Forest are all interested in signing Sam Clucas this summer.

The 30-year-old midfielder has been transfer listed for free at the Bet365 Stadium as the Potters look to cut costs and could well leave for pastures new after a frustrating campaign with the Stoke-on-Trent side.

Clucas made just 25 appearances for Michael O'Neill's men as they finished in mid table, with the Lincoln born midfield player notching up two goals and three assists across all competitions.

Now it appears that he could be a wanted man this summer, with a quartet of clubs seemingly in the race for his signature.

Naturally the news prompted a lot of reaction amongst the Stoke City fanbase on social media, with many taking to Twitter to air their views on the matter earlier today.
