‘Good time to bow out’ – Many QPR fans react to player development



A number of QPR supporters have been reacting to the latest confirmation by the Rs that versatile midfielder Geoff Cameron will be returning to his native America in the summer.

Cameron has been a good servant for QPR during his time with the club, after initially coming in on loan during the 2018/19 season and impressing enough to have earned a permanent deal the following summer. The 35-year-old has been able to fill in multiple areas during his time with the club and has provided some much-needed cover and extra quality to the squad.

The midfielder, who is also very comfortable in defence, managed to be a key part of the side last term making 36 Championship appearances and helping the Rs to a mid-table finish under Mark Warburton. So far this term, Cameron has managed to make 33 Championship appearances and he has provided three assists for them.

The club have now confirmed on their official website that the midfielder will be heading for the exit door this summer and is planning to return to his native America. That will leave Warburton needing to replace his presence in the squad and also the leadership qualities that he also brought to the table during his spell with the club.

Many QPR fans were quick to wish Cameron well and raise him for the contributions he made during his time with the club.
