Derby County’s U19 side have been drawn with Red Bull Salzburg in the last-16 of the UEFA Youth League.
The Rams’ U19 side have been experiencing some brilliant performances on the pitch over the last 12 months and their success gained them a place in UEFA’s prestigious youth competition.
Having progressed through the group stages, Derby were forced to play against Dortmund in order to qualify for the last-16 stage, and their impressive victory over the German side earlier this week saw them in Friday’s draw.
Goals from Eiram Cashin, Jordan Brown and Louie Sibley ensured the Rams a 3-1 win, whilst Reda Jousef Khadra did net for the visitors at Pride Park.
With the potential of facing the likes of Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, Ajax, Liverpool and Real Madrid – Derby were eagerly anticipating the draw for the next round.
And Friday’s draw has now revealed that they will face Red Bull Salzburg, with the Austrian side set to host the Rams.
