“Good riddance the snake” – Portsmouth fans furious after recent departure

Wigan Athletic today officially confirmed that Paul Cook was to become their next manager.

Paul Cook had been at Portsmouth after joining them from Chesterfield but has now decided to become the manager of Wigan, whom he represented in his playing days.

After leading Portsmouth to the Sky Bet League Two title last season, many Pompey fans believed that Paul Cook was focused on a long-term project with the club now that they were back in the third tier of English football, on the up and had just been taken over.

However, they were left disappointed when Cook decided to leave to join Wigan Athletic, who were relegated from the Championship last season and will now play in the same league as Portsmouth.

Portsmouth fans flocked to share their negative views on Paul Cook’s decision on social media platform.
