‘Good riddance’ – Many Queens Park Rangers fans react as high-profile exit looms

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Bright Osayi-Samuel has signed a pre-contract agreement with Fenerbahce, the Turkish side have confirmed.
QPR would’ve been hoping that Osayi-Samuel could step up following the departure of Ebere Eze to Crystal Palace last summer, but the 23-year-old has scored just three times in 23 Rangers appearances and has generally struggled with Eze’s presence missed.
The attacking midfielder’s contract situation has been a major talking point at Loftus Road this season, and he was left out of the QPR squad for their game at Barnsley in October after rejecting a new deal in West London.
Quiz: Are these 15 QPR facts genuine or not?
West London Sport revealed days later that talks over extending his deal were heading in the right direction, but Osayi-Samuel has decided against remaining in England.
It means that with Osayi-Samuel’s contract expiring at the end of the season, he’ll move to Istanbul on a free, although he’ll stay with QPR for the remainder of the current campaign.
The QPR supporters have been reacting on Twitter to the youngster’s future departure, and you can see some of the best responses below:
#qpr not particularly thrilled the way Bright Osayi Samuel is leaving …burning bridges is what I feel…

Bright Osayi-Samuel is set to join Fenerbahce on a free transfer this summer. What a waste of talent. #qpr

#QPR Bright Osayi-Samuel is an average player who has a good game once in 5, can suddenly do something magic every now and then but nothing close to what we’ve had at the club recently, not a big loss other than financially.

Think we should be putting Bright Osayi-Samuel in the U23s for the rest of the season. We’re not going down and we’re not going up, so might as well develop our own players. And it sets an example to future players who don’t want to renew their contract. #QPR

I think he’s a really good winger, but not sure where he fits into the new system. So not a big loss, but we really should’ve got some money for him.

Good riddance, him & his agent strung us along for nearly a year. Warburton should be consistent and not select him again as he did with Manning. He doesn't want to play for us fine, play those that do Willock & Uncs.

It’s a shame we’re not going to get some money to reinvest in the squad. We were just a little late offering him a new contract.
